This moment that probably people even standing around didn't notice is recorded for us so we could see the heart of our Savior.

I'm going to do. part of our Savior. Well, we are now in the part of the Gospel of John, where John is telling the story of the final moments of Jesus' life on earth.

Jesus has been nailed to a cross a horrible form of execution that cross jammed into the ground,

and we find him in this moment speaking his first

words. This is John 19, 25, 27, standing by the cross of Jesus where his mother and his mother

sister marry the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

When Jesus saw his mother and the disciples whom he loved standing nearby,

he said to his mother, woman, behold your son.

Then he said to the disciple, behold your mother.

And from that hour, the disciple took her to his house.

This moment may look like a moment of defeat, but it isn't.

Peter's sermon in Acts chapter 2 tells us that the worst thing that ever happened is the best thing that ever happened, that yes, Jesus was delivered to this horrible

death by unjust and evil men, but according to the foreordained plan of God.

And by God's plan, we are invited to be witnesses to Jesus on the cross.
