1:00.0	Well, I want to remind you that John's recording of everything that surrounds the death of Jesus is intentional and specific.
1:25.5	And there's so much comfort to be found in all the little things
1:32.6	that John makes sure that you are aware of and you remember, and God in His grace, preserve those,
1:41.3	recorded those for us and preserved them so we can read and understand these beautiful
1:47.2	things. Well, I'm going to read from you, for you, John 1931 through 37. Since it was the day of
1:56.9	preparation, and so the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath day for the
2:02.1	Sabbath was a high day the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that
2:07.8	they might be taken away so the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of
2:14.7	the other who had been crucified with him. But when they came to Jesus and saw
2:19.2	that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. But one of the soldiers pierced his side
2:24.5	with a spear and at once came out blood and water. He who saw it has borne witness, his testimony
2:33.3	is true. And he knows that he is telling the truth,
2:36.7	that you may also believe, for these things took place that the scripture might be fulfilled,
2:43.6	not one of his bones will be broken, and again another scripture says, they will look on him
