Many things I want to talk to you about today. I want to start, Sam, with talking about what it means to be in Christ.

And early in your book, you give this wonderful illustration.

I've never heard this illustration before. I'm absolutely

determined to steal it and use it anywhere I can. It's illustration of being on a plane

and taking a plane trip.

And I thought it was a wonderful illustration of,

it was a very simple way of getting at what it means to be in Christ.

So give us that illustration.

Yeah, I did steal that illustration.

Oh, good.

So I did acknowledge that in the book from an Australian preacher friend of mine.

But the illustration is if you're wanting to fly somewhere, say you're wanting to fly from here in Philadelphia to lovely Nashville,

what kind of relationship do you need to have with the plane to get to the destination?

And you could try to copy the plane, you could try to run along behind the plane, you could admire the plane, you could study the plane, but actually you need to be in the plane to get to where the plane is going.

And then once you are in the plane, what is true of the plane is true of you? If the plane is delayed, you're delayed. If the plane is early, you're early.

The person picking up at the other end isn't saying, has Sam arrived?
