I want to begin this morning by asking you a question.

I would like you to endeavor to be honest as you answer the question in your own heart.

Try not to be super spiritual or gloriously theological or give the sun Sunday's answer that always is God.

Here's the question.

What really is important to you?

I'm not talking right now about your confessional theology.

I'm talking about at the functional level.

What engages your concern?

What commands your desires?

What mobilizes your fear? What causes you to ask what if or if only? What really is important to you? I mentioned this principle as I introduced what I was going to say for the multiple times I've been speaking. I don't know how many they just run into one another for me.

It's this this side of eternity it's very hard to keep what god says is important important in your heart and life

let me say that again. This side of eternity,

it's difficult to keep what is important, important in your life. Things rise in levels of

importance and begin to command our thoughts, command our desires, and as they do that,

command our hearts, and as they command our hearts, command our words and behavior.
