Let us step out of the mass psychosis of cancel culture and remember compassion, tolerance for differing viewpoints, and recognition of the deeply complex nature of human behavior.

I am sure that you have spent the last many years as I have watching people's lives be destroyed online over nothing.

Oftentimes it's complete fabrications, watching people fall victim to a terrifying cult like mentality,

completely lose their capacity for critical thought and compassion.

But it's done in the name of compassion.

And if you have been witnessing all this online, then you probably have an online account of some sort,

which means that you probably also, as do most folks, live in fear of being canceled yourself.

Saying the wrong word because you didn't know the words had changed.

Not speaking out about something that you really aren't qualified to speak out about.

Refusing to join in on a cancellation and being threatened to be canceled yourself because of it.
