1:49.0 | I want to dial back to your previous book just for a moment if I could oak culture. What do you mean? What is oak culture? |
1:55.0 | Well, it's in part, you could say it's a punny joining of two words, the occult and culture, and they go really well together. |
2:05.0 | And that's, you know, technically, but also as a phenomenon, it's something that is very, very interesting. |
2:11.0 | It becomes sort of my obsession in a way. This merger signifies when something has moved from being occult, meaning hidden, meaning ostracized, |
2:23.0 | meaning rejected, meaning perhaps staying outside, staying hidden because of self-preservation. |
2:30.0 | But anyway, this movement into perhaps not the mainstream, but also the mainstream, but mainly into culture, our general culture. |
2:39.0 | And this could be for many reasons, for instance, it could be because of survival of an idea. |
