Hey everybody and welcome back to I Just Want to talk about the Bible.

If this is your first time joining us today, then let me just welcome you and say that I am so glad that you're here.

My name is Christian Keeter and I live in the southeast of the United States of America with my amazing, beautiful, godly wife

Lacey and our two wonderful daughters, Felicity and Serenity.

So let me begin today by giving you guys a little bit of backstory behind this episode and

this topic that we're going to be discussing today. So as I have shared before in previous

podcasts, I am also on staff with a ministry

called Mentoring Men for the Master. And part of what we do at mentoring is whenever we get

together, we have a lesson that is taught. And then there are scriptures that were assigned

the week before that everybody was supposed to spend time meditating on studying and thinking about.

And in addition to that, there are life application questions to be thought about or done

during the course of the week so that when we come back together,

we'll have a time where a lesson is taught, but then we break into small groups

and discuss the scriptures that had been assigned, the life application

questions, and other things. So the reason why I'm sharing that is because that means you have to

let the people know a week in advance what the subject is going to be because you're going to have

to select scriptures and also come up with questions that are relevant to the topic. And the reason why I'm sharing that is because I'm actually speaking at mentoring

both this weekend and next weekend at the time of this recording.

So I had to let people know a week in advance what the topic was going to be

for this upcoming weekend.
