Worst is a strong word, but look, I, Simon Miller went back and watched all these main events that we're going to talk about today and yeah.

The issue is those two words, main event.

When you slap that on something at WrestleMania, expectations zoom up.

You also get the problem of other matches just stealing the entire show, meaning when you do get to the closing fight,

fans have kind of had their fill.

Planning a wrestling card is a skill.

That rhymes, so it must be true.

So what has fallen foul when it does come to this?

Sid Justice versus Hulk Hogan.

This was just a catalogue of errors.

Before we get to the main event, though,

let's go back

to that point from the intro. On this show, you also get Roddy Piper versus Brett Hart and

a WWF title bout between Rick Flair and the matchelman, Randy Savage. Both are great even today.

They do not age. As Sid and Hulk were going on last, the then WWF pulled the whole double

main event to tell you that the world title was still important.

I imagine Hogan had told whoever would listen he would close the event no matter what.

It wasn't going to work for him, brother.

Hulk and Justice did have a story in the sense they had fallen out of the Royal Rumble, but still,

this didn't have the heat or legs to be the closure, and given what Hogan had done at the last
