0:16.5

0:23.0

Every verse. Brent, we left off. I think we're committed now. I think I think I'm gonna have to hold it.

0:28.9

This point every verse thing. Yeah, we're gonna have to. I think I'll see how it goes.

0:32.5

If you, you know, if you leave one verse out, it's like, what were they trying to hide? Exactly.

0:37.0

So I think we're gonna have to do it. Well, let's have a whole episode where you just read massive checks of Matthew about that.

0:43.0

Well, anyway, I don't know about that. So picking up chapter three, verse 13.

0:49.4

I'll tell you, Brent, that's how we're gonna get you in this podcast. I've been all around this country. It's a great country of ours.

0:53.4

If you have to be to Melbourne or Bamo, Canada, whatever that Melbourne, Melbourne, that's pretty much how they say it.

1:00.4

That's probably still down your own, but it's down down under. Yeah. And we have a, we have a, we have a Bamo Canada, um, deer, deer run, deer, deer park, red deer, red deer.

1:11.4

Red deer, some of that over there in Canada. I haven't been out, but I've been all around this great country of ours. Brent Billings, one thing I gotta say is

1:18.4

people want more Brent Billings. People are, people are done with this Marty Solomon character. They want to hear more Brent Billings voice. So there we go.

1:26.4

We'll just do whole sections of reading. And that was right. It's red deer. Red deer. Okay. There you go.

1:32.4

All right. Finish up chapter three for us, Brent.

1:36.4

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John, but John tried to deter him saying, I need to be baptized by you. And do you come to me? Jesus replied, let it be so now. It is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.

1:50.4

Let me stop you right there. Cause that's a route we've, we've used that, uh, it's an interesting interchange. Like here comes Jesus says, okay, I'm ready to be baptized. And John, very typical John, John the Baptist response.

2:00.4

He's like, whoa, no, I can't even untie your sandals. You're the lamb of God takes away some of the world. Like I, I should be baptized by you. Not you baptized under like I should be baptized under your authority.

2:10.4

Not you baptized under my authority. And Jesus responses, it must, we, we must do this so that we can fulfill all righteousness. Like I've heard that for a season, a lot of different ways through my education and different things like that. But having looked at what we looked at last podcast.

2:25.4

That phrase hopefully should help us make a little bit more sense. Like when you took on Essene baptism, you were telling the world.

2:33.4

Cause the question comes up right when you have a Christian understanding of baptism. Why is Jesus getting baptized? Like he doesn't have, he doesn't need to be have like if you have a, like a sin issue.

2:45.4

Like some people see baptism is taking away of sin. Like Jesus doesn't need that. But again, we remind ourselves of you in the name of the father and yourself and the last year. Yeah.

2:54.4

Yeah. Which brings us to the point like that we're not doing a Christian baptism thing here. And yet I've heard people like use this first to explain why we ought to do Christian baptism.
