He had a girlfriend. He went over to her house, and she told him as late, go home, and he said,

We talked to a great guy today, Pete, a retired police officer, retired as a lieutenant,

actually the oldest of three brothers who became police officers. Down in Texas,

He's the one who pointed upwards and said, I'm ready to go home. I'm ready to go home.

And a few hours later, shots were fired. Then there's the youngest brother. He's the one who forgave. And then there's Pete, who it took, well, a little longer process.
