Thank you for joining us for the Tuesday edition of our podcast.

Today we are joined again by one of my favorite former colleagues.

He's from a different part of the country,

different political party.

But you would be hard-pressed to find a more decent person in any line of work,

especially politics than Vermont Senator Peter Welch.

And over the weekend, long after we had scheduled this podcast, I was asked at an event in DC to name someone

that I thought highly of from the other side of the aisle.

And there are several names that I could have picked, but I tend to always pick Peter Welch because he went out of his way to be respectful to those with whom he disagreed.

Anyone who questions the authenticity of his progressiveness is not looking at his voting record

and they've never listened to him.

My point is you can also be a decent human being and respectful of people to disagree with you and it seems to be a dying part of politics and he's been in the private world of law firms and the public world of state national politics that he's one of my favorite people in the public world of state national politics.

That is one of my favorite people in the world.
