town battle for the last remaining public nursing home in the community.

selling off this five-star facility, but the seniors, they're not having it, showing up the

county board meetings, marching in the Labor Day parade, and fighting with their very last

breaths. I love this pod because George goes deep

into questions of aging in America, public versus private long-term care, and the nuts and

bolts of good old-fashioned organizing. The show it'll inspire you to keep up the fight and it'll get you to think a bit differently about aging.

So I'm a Midwestern guy through and through, grew up in Southern Indiana and

started organizing there before moving to Chicago in my 20s, but Wisconsin has grown

to hold a big chunk of my heart.
