Hi, friend. I am so happy you're here. Today, you are going to hear a conversation that is a bit different than the

topics that I usually cover on this platform. You're going to hear a conversation about race

between myself and my friend Anastasia. I wanted to have this conversation in the first place because to be perfectly honest with you,

it was well overdue as far as I'm concerned.

I have always considered myself anti-racist and an ally to black people and other people of

color, but in light of the recent events that

have taken place at the end of May and the beginning of June, it has become evident to me for the

first time, which is sad, that I wasn't the ally that I thought I was or hoped to be.

And I share a little bit more and go a little bit deeper

into that in the interview. But I realize that there's a huge difference between saying or

something or not saying anything at all and doing and being something, especially when it comes to anti-racism.

And if I really wanted to be on the right side of anti-racism, which of course I do,

I understand now that I have a lot of inner and outer work to do.

So this interview is what I hope to be a small but intentional step in that direction.

And my intention with this interview is to share a different perspective on race from

someone who has actually experienced racism at different points of her life.
