On Monday, May 25th, George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis, Minnesota as a result of police brutality.

And we've had so many people across the country who have been asking us how to respond, what to

think, what should we do.

And I wanted to bring a couple of my friends into this conversation. And so I just want to thank them at the last minute.

I want to welcome Jerome and Angela Davis who live here in Los Angeles.

Guys, thank you so much for being with me during this time.

And then we also have Pastor Joe Smith who's been here in Hollywood for the last decade and

and and Pastor Joe and I have been talking about some of the issues for quite a while and

dealing with some of the emotional turmoil that people are feeling.

And Joe, I want to thank you so much for joining me

in this conversation as well.

I think that one of the things I want to do

is, one, I want to create a moment where people can can see through your eyes and

Jerome you and Joe are both black men.

And I talked to some others like John Thomas and, you know,

and the Jamar Brown King and others who really are tormented by these moments and sometimes even

terrified by the reality that it could be them.

And Jerome, there's going to be a lot of people listening right now who are white or maybe

Latino or Asian.

Would you mind just telling us what were your initial thoughts and even if it was just an

emotional response to what's happened this past week?
