Hello, friends. It's Jonathan Helser. We're coming to the end of November 2022. All the

0:09.8

Leafs are falling here in North Carolina. And we are just closing our discipleship season

0:16.0

as a community. We just had 52 students here on the land from all over the world. And

0:23.2

Jesus has been doing extraordinary things in our midst. And honestly, my heart right now

0:28.7

is quite sad. It's already missing these students. And at the same time, my heart is bursting

0:34.2

with hope at the future that each of these students have. And the way their roots are sinking

0:40.4

deep into friendship with God. They are going to change the world. And it was an honor to

0:45.2

pour in each of their lives. One of the highlights of this school was being able to have international

0:51.1

students back on the land. Because of COVID, the last few years, we haven't had the nations

looked up to for a long time, probably for the last at least 15, maybe 20 years. I've been

1:22.8

reading and listening and following a guy named Chris Valatin, who is one of the core leaders

1:28.3

out at Bethel Church. And for the last eight years, me and Melissa have had the honor of being a

1:34.1

part of Bethel music. And we've gotten to know Chris. But before that, we just spent years gleaning

1:40.2

from Chris's wisdom and the beautiful path that he pioneered into the heart of God. And he's

1:45.4

really taught us so much about who God is. And over the years, we've gotten to be friends with his

1:50.6

son Jason Valatin, who has poured into our school. He's poured into our community and our students.

1:56.5

And has really just been such an ally to us. And we just love the Valatin family. And it was

2:02.4

such an honor to sit down with Chris. This podcast was originally recorded for Chris's platform.

2:08.9

And I asked Chris if we could share it with our family and our tribe and our podcast. And he said
