There is nothing worth living for unless it is worth dying for.

My grandmother lived a life devoted to Jesus, and today her talks have been made available

in their original form.

So you too can be built up through the insights and mysteries God revealed to her throughout

her ministry.

Now without further ado, here is Elizabeth Elliott.

The subject that I've chosen for tonight is a faithful shepherd, and I'm just very

grateful for one more opportunity simply to be one of tens of millions of witnesses to

the faithfulness of God.

I'm so glad that the girl's sang one of my very favorite hymns, great is thy faithfulness.

And I want to just refer to a Psalm very familiar to all of us, Psalm 23, the Lord is my shepherd.

And as one child interpreted the next phrase, that's all I want.

The Lord is my shepherd, that's all I want.

And the older I get, the truer that is.

I can't think of anything else in the world that I want or need.

In fact, Lars and I often talk about the fact that we can't even imagine any changes

that we would make in our lifestyle or possessions or anything else.

We're just so grateful for all the way that the Savior has led us.

And I give thanks to God, just unutterable thanks to God for the fact that I was reared

in a very strong Christian home.

My next book will be on that subject.

I've finished the book, but it won't be out for maybe another year or so.
