On September 3, 2018, Mara Lee Harvey, 41, and her children, three-year-old Charlotte Kate, and two-year-old twins, Alice Esther and Beatrix May, were brutally slain in their own home by a man

who was supposed to love them. With Mara's 73-year-old mother, Beverly Anne Quinn, falling victim

to that same man in that same house the following day when she unknowingly came to visit her family,

the bodies were discovered alongside one another inside of that Perth Australia home. Beverly and Mara were both struck in the

head with a metal pipe and repeatedly stabbed using a knife that the killer bought just days before,

a blade almost the size of a machete,

and the children were killed with a smaller knife, also brand new, while they slept peacefully

in their beds. The man responsible was 24-year-old Anthony Robert Harvey. Mara Harvey's husband,

who claimed he, after consuming wine, tried to finish

off his wife of three years as quickly as possible, and confessed to killing his children in their

sleep because, quote, they were just little girls. Charlotte was stabbed a total of 38 times, Mara a total of 12, and all of the victims were

covered with blankets, flowers, and handwritten notes. On the body of his wife, Anthony wrote,
