Thank you for joining us for a Tuesday edition of our podcast. Summer is here, which means the year is, I guess, getting close to being halfway over, which is really hard to believe.

2024 is halfway over.

I remember wondering whether or not I would make it to see year 2000? I remember sitting as a young person in my

backyard kind of wondering what I ever see the year 2000 and here we are nearly a

quarter of a century into that century.

Last week I took an unpleasant walk down memory lane.

Sometimes in life we do that.

Every memory is not a good memory but sometimes we reflect not necessarily

dwell but reflect on painful memories because pain can teach you it can make you, it can make you change, it can make you promise, it can help you empathize with others.

There was another TV network profiling a criminal case that I had long ago been involved with. The case did not go to trial. The defendant pled guilty. The morning trial was set to begin, but I found my closing argument after all these years and it

refresh my recollection already had pretty good recall of the facts because the victim was so extraordinary and her family members in particular her aunt were extraordinary

were extraordinary as family members of a victim so I

remembered a lot of it but I didn't remember all the details. I had to refresh my recollection.
