Hey, it's good to be with you. Ashley. I'm really excited to share this conversation with our listeners. Yeah, it's with the Jesuit priest, Brian Strasberger. He's the director of Del Camino Jesuit Border Ministries in Brownsville, Texas. And he also hosts the Jesuit Border podcast. And we spoke with Brian just a couple days after the election of Donald Trump.

So obviously a really timely conversation to have with someone who's working at the border, working with

migrants who want to come and cross from Mexico and people who are already here

trying to work their way through a very complicated system. So Brian is someone who's deeply

entwined in this world and concerned about what's coming next. Yeah. And you might have seen

Brian's work profiled in a really great long article in The New Yorker earlier this year. We'll be sure to link to that

in our show notes. But, you know, we've known Brian for a long time and we finally like, this is

the perfect time to have him on the show. And I want to thank Brian especially because he gave

us an incredible drink recommendation, which I feel compelled to share with our listeners.

So he calls it the Brownsville Brandy Sprite. So he made this up when he

moved to Brownsville and he says it's basically a poor man's version of a brandy old fashion. So

you've got your typical bidders that go in there. Brandy, he says any brandy works. And also Sprite.

He says he uses Sprite zero because he's watching those calories, but any Sprite will do. So fill up your glass with ice, throw in a couple dashes of those bitters, shot or two of brandy, and then you just top it off with a Sprite. So pretty simple, pretty easy, pretty great. Good name. It's what I'm looking for for a drink recommendation from a guest.
