Helen Marlene Major, Ney Oaks, was born December 7, 1954 in Kentucky to Willie and Mildred Oaks.

She would go by her middle name Marlene.

Now Marlene met William Bill Major, who went by Bill, and they married in 1971 when

Marlene was just a teenager.

They settled in Verona, Kentucky, which is in northern Kentucky.

It was a thriving small town that was incorporated, but that since has dissolved.

It is now just a small community of about 1,500 people as of 2020.
