Today we are joined by an old colleague and a current friend.

He is from the great state of Arkansas, married to a former federal prosecutor, father and a father of two, and oh by the way also

happens to be a United States senator, may well have been, I want to be careful saying this, may well have been the quickest, brightest

colleague I had in the house. I remember trying to pick his brain about various issues and I couldn't follow him. He just thinks on another level.

I did recall back in those days in 2013 as I was a new member of Congress.

All my buds like you and Mike Pompeo and Jim Jordan started

immediately encouraging me to run for the Senate in 2014 and at first I thought it

was a vote of confidence in my abilities and then later it dawned on me this maybe after having a brief experience with me you just wanted me out of your hair.

We did not appreciate your friendship and support over the years.

We did not want you out of our hair. We wanted to lower the
