Here's a kind of a simple message, but I'm a simple guy.

So my name's Father Mike Schmitz, and this is a century present.

If you're raised Christian or raised Catholic,

sometimes people can say that.

The only reason you're Christian, the only reason you're Catholic,

the only reason you're in the church,

the only reason you have faith

is because you were raised that way.

I mean it might be true for somebody might be true for some people but you guys we live in an

age where a lot of people are raised Christian a lot of people are raised Catholic

and they walk away so to accuse someone of just

oh the only reason why you believe what you believe is because you're raised to

believe it. That discounts the fact that might even be the case that the majority of

people who are raised to believe in Jesus Christ, the majority of people who are raised to believe in Jesus Christ,

the majority of people who are raised to be Catholic end up saying, no.

In fact, I work with, I've worked with youth, young adult, you know, middle school, high school, college-age people. I've seen a lot of young people

who raised Catholic, who walked away. I say a lot of young people who raised Catholic who stay.

And I find a lot of people who raise nothing and become Catholic.

And so it's like it's one of those things where it's like okay there's more at play. I think there's more at play than just

oh you believe it because you're taught to believe it at such an age, right?

I think there's something else happening.
