Today is a pretty heavy day.

Today is a pretty heavy day. And we take a moment and pray together and pray for the Bryant family.

I know that there's so many people here who can't even remember

their childhood without Kobe Bryant and there may be no more iconic person in Los Angeles than Colby. And whether

you're a Laker fan or not, you have to admire the greatness and the legend of

Kobe Bryant.

So we just want to pause for a moment and pay our respects and to pray for his wife and

children and for the others who lost her life today,

so let's just take a moment, just bow our heads and close our eyes. Father, our city is in mourning, a deep sense of loss,

overwhelming sadness and grief.

And not only here in Los Angeles,

but across this nation and even across the world.

God this is one of those times where we just cannot make sense of how sense this life seems sometimes. And so we pause God to pray for the Bryant family and pray your peace and your healing in their life, your comfort, that you would be near to them.

You would surround them with family and friends and loved ones who could help them through this time of pain. We are reminded of how fragile life is and how precious every moment in this life is.

You got in this life is. God, I pray that this moment and this place would be a part of the healing.

We thank you Jesus that you

That you are near, that you are present, that you wait for us to call on you, that you will be our

healer and their strength.
