some tea with a friend when she passed two male strangers on the street.

One of the men suddenly spun around and, without warning or any hesitation, smashed a hammer up the side of Yeh Katerina Ilchenko's

head while his friends stood by watching. Her body was found at 5 a.m. by her own mother. Within an

hour of her bludgeoning, the two men, later nicknamed the Dignet Propakos maniacs, happened upon their next victim,

sleeping soundly on a bench near where they left Yacetarina to die, and just across the street

from a public prosecutor's office. The man, Roman Tatarevich, was found bludgeon to death in such a way

that it rendered him unrecognizable.
