0:13.3	This is Tony Rankie, host from over at the Ask Pastor John podcast. Honored to spend a moment with you here today as we hear from Pastor John, who has an update for us as we plan and prepare our ministry operations in the new year.
0:25.0	2025 begins in just a few days, and as we change out the calendar, we're dreaming of what we can do next as we expand our ministry labors across the globe.

0:37.3	In Philippians chapter 2, verse 27, the Apostle
0:41.4	Paul says something amazing about his friend Epaphroditeus. He was ill and near to death,
0:47.4	and it says, but God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow, even though
0:57.0	Paul said in the previous chapter, to die is gain. Well, if to die is gain, why is it of mercy
1:06.3	to be kept alive? That's the key question. And surely the answer is, Epaphroditis gets another day to magnify
1:16.0	Christ in his body, and Paul gets another day to be loved by a precious friend. And that's what I
1:24.9	feel here at the end of the year at my age. To be alive and to be loved by so many
1:32.4	people who support desiring God to magnify Christ in our bodies, another day on earth is a very
1:40.8	precious mercy. It's compounded by the fact that I get to do my favorite thing here
1:47.9	at Desiring God. I study the Bible. I apply it to people's lives. I do look at the book and ask
1:54.5	Pastor John. Look at the book is done. All the letters of Paul are done except Romans so you can
2:00.4	pray with me about
2:01.7	Romans. And Tony and I have been doing as Pastor John for over 10 years, 2,000 episodes, 300 million
2:09.5	plays. What a privilege to be a part of this ministry and looking at the Bible over and over
2:16.0	again day after day. And I'm not the only one, right?
2:19.3	Our team has produced, what, 570 resources, 10 million views this year for the team. I love being a part
