I think what nobody told me about a memoir is you can't hide behind actors or directors

or even that much makeup.

But also it's still live, you know, it's my life and it's still live.

And so I can write the ending for Hannah and Nathan and be, you know,

cheered and awe of the actors, but I go home and have my life and this is my life.

Now, today's guest knows a bit about drama.

She creates it for a living after all.

Abby Morgan is the BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning screenwriter of films like Suffragett,

Shame and the Iron Lady.

And she's creator of the impossibly brilliant BBC drama The Split,

which has been gripping viewers recently with its third and sadly final season.

But all the screenwriting expertise in the world could not have prepared her

for the series of cataclysmic events that shattered her life three years ago.

Now, she's written a book about those events.

This is not a pity memoir, it's funny, moving and thought-provoking.
