Summary

Forty-nine Christians were martyred during the great persecution under Diocletian in Roman North Africia in the town of Abitinia. The martyrs were persecuted for their commitment to Sunday worship and reception of the Eucharist. 1:14.5	And so these Christians are killed for breaking the law promulgated by Diocletian about a year prior,
1:20.4	which prohibited Christians from assembling to worship.
