Hi guys, I'm Megan and I'm Sierra. Welcome back to according to in this week's episode. We are going to be talking about adulting and what that means to us.

0:12.3

Kind of that transition between, you know, having your parents doing everything for you and then all of a sudden you're like, wait, I have to do all this by myself.

0:18.6

And I'm sure we're mostly going to be talking about this from our experience and just any tips that we might have or if we have like little stories

0:24.9

we want to share. But also everyone is going to kind of adult at their own pace. There's a lot of

0:30.0

people that are maybe more mature in high school and do a lot of stuff on their own. And then there's

0:34.0

people that don't like rely on their parents more. And so it just kind of depends on where you're at. We're just going to talk about what it's like or what it's

0:41.2

been like for us and just how we feel like we're doing right now. Are we doing well? Do we think we're

0:46.0

good at being adults? Do we think it's been a smooth transition or has it been kind of rough? I know a lot

0:50.2

of people think it's like this quick drop off like after high school because technically

0:54.2

we've been adults for over two years now yeah you know if you want to say 18 is like when you become an

0:59.2

adult and i certainly don't feel like like it's i wouldn't classify myself like as an adult you know

1:05.2

but you are you that's exactly what an adult is and you're not a teenager anymore either so

1:10.2

exactly at 19 you can at least be like well i'm still a teenager so is. And you're not a teenager anymore either, so. Exactly. At 19, you can

1:12.4

at least be like, well, I'm still a teenager, so I mean, 18, you can say that too. But we're 20, so we can't

1:17.0

say that anymore. So what else are you? Um, but before we get started with that, we're going to do

1:21.7

our typical weekly spotlights. So right now, if you are listening listening trying to think of a weekly spotlight for yourself it's always good to really just think about what you're grateful for even if it's a little little thing you guys

1:31.4

if you've been listening to our podcast for a while sometimes our weekly spotlights are just the

1:35.7

littlest thing so just in the past week something you're grateful for try and think about it

1:41.4

and have one of those because we're not the only ones that should be

1:44.4

doing this. You can listen to ours and then try and come up with one on your own.

1:49.9

My weekly spotlight is pretty simple. Our older sister's birthday was on Monday, the 27th,

1:56.5

and our grandparents came up on Sunday the day before, and we had like a late lunch, early dinner situation with them.
