over in a wheelchair looking like he had aged 50 years. She found out he was having a stroke.

The doctors gave no answers as to why but told them to follow a heart healthy diet from here

on out. Ali's dad had died of a heart attack at just 55 years old a few years before and

she didn't want to take any chances so she researched and prayed a lot. She felt strongly that she

needed to follow the entire word of wisdom, especially the part where it says eat meat sparingly and eat more whole plant foods.

Well, Elise, I'm so excited to have you on the podcast. When you sent your email, I thought it's such a needed topic. I think that you were kind of talking about how you have a comeback story yourself,

but in addition to that, how you navigated a mixed faith marriage

during that time.

And I know that a lot of people they have a hard time navigating a mixed faith

marriage and I think to be able to maintain a testimony while your spouse is struggling is challenging and then to be the spouse that's struggling and have a spouse that's believing is also in turn challenging so super excited to hear your story I

think it's gonna help a lot of people so yeah let's let's go ahead and get

started and just I'd love to hear a little bit about you maybe you know a little bit about your

family and then let's jump into your story. All right yeah so first of all thank you so

much for this opportunity and for starting this podcast it's interesting because I went through my whole experience like kind of coming back around a couple years ago and I always knew that I was going to be telling my story. I didn't know when and as I've been listening to your

podcast it's just kind of the timing's been perfect so thanks for having a

platform for that. So I am born and raised in Lehi Utah my husband My husband and I are high school sweethearts. We met when I was 16, almost 17.

He served admission in Samoa and we got married shortly after he got home. We have four kids. We have three boys and a little
