What's up everybody and welcome back to Black Rogue One after thoughts. I, of course,

0:16.8

I'm your host tomorrow and I am here with my husband and my co-host Jason. What's up yo?

0:22.9

So this week we did a missing person case and you guys know, by listen to this show that

0:29.1

missing person stories are always harder to tell because there's usually not a lot of information

0:35.1

and the information that we have usually doesn't really tell us very much and that's part of the

0:40.9

problem. So at the end of story, it was one of those stories there wasn't a ton of information but

0:47.9

a lot of the information that we did have was a big thanks to her family, her sister in particular

0:55.2

you know, started a website and keeps the website up to date. It has information about Athena and

1:00.1

she really led the charge to get her story into the mainstream media and that's how it was featured

such a hard time getting these stories elevated into the press and it really takes an effort on

1:27.5

their part and every family doesn't have that in them and that's why there are so many stories

1:32.0

where there's not a lot of information and you can't blame the family because unless you've been

1:37.5

in that position, you never really know what it's like to go through that and so you can't judge

1:42.8

and say, well, if it was me, I would do X, Y and Z. Well, you know, it's always what we would do or

1:48.4

what we, you know, may do but you never know until you're in that situation and you know,

1:53.7

every family is not, everybody's not on social media, everybody's not social media savvy, everybody

1:58.7

doesn't know even where to start in terms of trying to get attention to cases but when they do know

2:06.4

and they are able to, it does make a difference. It does, it does make a difference and it helps to

2:12.2

get these stories into the press in a way that they, they wouldn't on their own and so a lot of

2:18.8

the information that we found out about Athena's story this week was thanks to her, her family and
