Kwanis Flight 72, an Airbus A330 with 315 people on board, is on route from Singapore's

Changi Airport to Perth, Australia. Three hours into the flight while still over the Indian Ocean,

the captain returns to the cockpit after his break, and the first officer exits the cockpit

for his break, leaving the captain and second officer flying the plane. Without explanation,

the autopilot disengages, and a slew of errors appear on the pilot's screens.

The crew is reviewing the errors when the plane suddenly and violently pitches down

towards the ocean below. The captain pulls back on his sidestick, but the plane refuses to respond.
