Summary

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip!

This week Pip is joined by ALEX HORNE of TASKMASTER & THE HORNE SECTION!

Looking back over Alex's previous appearance on Distraction Pieces, all those years ago back in 2017, it looks like this encore meetup happens in exactly the same way - in the caravan, under a revolving cast of airplanes. But all is well! The planes are not intrusive (apart from to the sunlight), and the chat is not a simple rehash of old things, because how could it be? So much has happened since, though one thing remains - Taskmaster is the immovable object and we are all much better for it. So enjoy this catchup which hits upon all the things you would hope for, including much behind the scenes gold and some hints at what might be on the horizon with the (at time of typing) forthcoming season. It's not all Taskmaster though, as Alex breaks down a lot of what else has been happening and will be happening in a solo and group capacity. So much to enjoy - and you shall!

Another returning guest, but another icon. The last time I chatted with Alex was about a decade ago, and we sat in the Taskmaster Caravan and talked about stuff.

Since then, the taskmaster bloody cinematic universe

has grown exponentially. This time, I sat waiting in the taskmaster caravan. Alex arrived by helicopter

and got carried on a sedan chair from the helicopter to the caravan, was like lifted into the

caravan through the window weirdly, which seems awkward. You just use the door. But he then

0:46.8

spent 10 minutes centering himself and humbled himself. And we had this beautiful conversation.

And a hell of conversation it is. I think you're going to agree.
