The fossil fuel industry holds, to a large extent, holds the fate and future of the world in its hands,

at least here in the United States.

And the reason for that is the U.S. Supreme Court.

Of course, the U.S. Supreme Court gave corporations personhood and the U.S. Supreme Court

gave corporations the First Amendment right to what they claim was a First Amendment right.

I don't see it in the First Amendment, but they say it's there, it's over at the free speech

to buy politicians.

And the fossil fuel industry in the United States has bought every single Republican who's available

for sale and Joe Manchin and, you know, a good-sized handful of Democrats, not a particularly

large handful of Democrats, but there, you know, enough to block legislation as Joe Manchin did

would build back better, for example.
