Today we will cover what we call this Pucci's third voyage but was really his second and we will discuss his fourth voyage but likely one he never went on

Confused that's okay. Let's recap

History tells us that Amerigo Vespucci made four voyages to the new world between 1497 and 1504.

However, the first voyage is generally considered a fabrication.

And the fourth voyage may have happened, but it's not likely Vespucci actually went on it.

So that means only the second and third voyages are of interest to us.

It is after the second voyage that we concluded our last episode.

Vespucci had returned from the New World in the summer of 1500, having explored down the

South American coast, reaching around the furthest eastern point of the continent.

He was now an experienced and respected explorer.
