Hey, welcome to the show.

Thank you so much for having me.

Yeah, I'm excited to talk.

I want to talk about prison break, but first, I think we should say that you are also on

to one of my favorite shows of all time, The Newsroom. Oh, yeah. Oh, my God, I love that show. Thank you for

saying that. I didn't think people still remembered that. Oh, really? I remember your role,

exactly, with Jeff Daniels, like, talking through, like, the Skype. Talking through Skype.

Because you were in Egypt in the show, right? In I was in Egypt in reality I was upstairs from the newsroom in a

half room set but did you get to meet him oh yeah we rehearsed in person I shot for

three days we rehearsed in person and then I would go upstairs and literally like the

stairs of the newsroom and it would open up into this like

soundstage space of nothingness. And they had a half room that was half one room in Egypt and

half another character's room and that was supposed to be in Egypt. Oh yeah. But and we did it live.

So so we had sort of like a live feed thing going on. Oh, that's nice.

Yeah.

Is it true that after you were cast, you sent an email to Aaron Sorkin about the character name?

I didn't directly, but I asked the, I asked the costume designer when I was getting my fitting.

I was like, you know, this story is really important to me as like an Egyptian American person and the revolution was very exciting to me. But I have to,

but the character was written in a name that I'd never, I just didn't recognize the name. And it
