How firm a foundation,

Ye saints of the Lord is laid for your faith in his excellent word.

In every journey, you're going to hit some rugged terrain.

And our travels through the whole word of God on through the Bible are no different.

Gratefully, our teacher, Dr. J. Vernon McGee, doesn't pass over the fact that in our five-year-long

trip, some stretches of road, well, they're just plain hard to navigate.

And we're in the book of Amos, where the news from God is, judgment is coming.

And the people of Israel refused to turn from their wicked living.

Even so, Amos continues to call for repentance, saying, seek the Lord and live.

on how God's Word is making a big difference

in the lives of our fellow listeners this time in Tanzania.

Yes, and if you want to look at where Tanzania is,

it's in East Africa and kind of about midway up the continent.

It's just south of Kenya.

And it's a place where we have a lot of great ministry going on.

And like a lot of countries in Africa, there is a heavy population, almost half, that say we're Christian.

About a third say they're Muslim.

But as Steve, we've seen around the world, what's called Christian

is often kind of interesting. Yeah, it's not, it's not what we would, we would typically say

is saving faith usually. I mean, it's very ritualistic and nominal at best. And often syncretistic.
