Hey going, everybody.

Dando here for a very special episode of Four Finger Discount.

Obviously, this week we are not going to be doing an episode review.

As you can tell from the title of this podcast,

I was lucky enough to be joined by the one and only Maggie Roswell last week,

the voice behind characters such as Maud Flanders, Helen Lovejoy, Luann Van Houton,

Sherry Bobbins, Miss Hoover, many, many women in the Simpsons universe. We don't

only discuss her voices, but we also cover things like the 90s Christmas parties with the

Simpson staff when they were all still living close to the studio. We discussed the recording process

between, like comparing it from the 90s when she first started to now. And it's really,

really interesting. We even cover things like what microphones they use and what microphones she prefers to use

in her home studio, how she gets the script sent to her these days.

And it's just, it's really, really, really interesting stuff.

Plus, what I was most excited for was that we finally got to the bottom of just how and why

she quit the show 25 years ago and how she came back and the reason she was

able to come back. Plus, she gives her thoughts on the death of more flanders, which is really

cool. It's just great being able to finally hear from her point of view what she thought about

that whole situation and how they, in my opinion, mishanded it, and she kind of agrees as well,

misheaded the situation when she left the show and the unfortunate passing of

more flanders.
