There's almost no decision that's actually permanent. Decisions are all reversible to some degree or another.

It's really a question of cost. So even if you take like what university are you going to, you can transfer and people

transfer all the time.

There's a cost of transferring.

But it turns out that the cost of transferring is actually kind of low because credits transfer. So it's actually less expensive than you might think to transfer

to transfer colleges but people don't really think about that when they go

into the college decision and then they get in this horrible anxiety and

analysis paralysis and who am I going to, you know, which one am I going to choose because they forget about the reversibility.

And there are people who are really pouring over dating profiles and really stressed about whether they should go on a date with someone or who

should they choose to go on a date with or whatever, because I think that we tend to think about

these things as much more permanent and final than they actually are.

But dating is, by definition, super-quitable.

You go on a date with somebody, nobody says

that you have to go on a date with them again, you can quit.
