and Hi, my name is Chris Brennan, and this you're listening to episode 153 of the

astrology podcast. So today what I'm going to be doing is it's been a while

since I've done a solo show of the podcast and I've been meaning to,

one, do a solo show for a while, and two, I've been meaning to give a lecture or to record a lecture on a specific technique or a specific

technical approach that's kind of unique to my approach or that's tied in with my

approach to Hellenistic and modern astrology.

And one of the techniques that I've mentioned frequently over the years

is the technique known as annual perfections,

which is a Hellenistic time alert technique.

And I know I've mentioned it a bunch of times.

I've alluded to it a bunch of times, occasionally I've made sort of brief remarks about how to calculate it,

but I've never actually done a show where I really went in depth on this technique.

So I've been putting it off. It's also something that I wrote about in my book and it's also something that I teach in my course.

So there's oftentimes this, or over the years I've had this tension between, you know, how much to present on the podcast for free just publicly versus how much to hold back in my course.

So I feel like at this point there's enough in the course and I go into much detail in my full nine hour lecture on this technique that it would be okay to do a somewhat brief,

what I'm going to shoot for is let's say like a 90 minute treatment of annual perfections

as kind of a beginner's introduction to this technique.

So it will get a little bit complicated at different points, but one of the things I'm going to try

to do is tie this back into other episodes of the podcast that I've done in the past where you can, I'll put some

links and some references to episode numbers so that if you'd like to you can go back and, you know,

listen to other episodes that I've done in the past for more information about some of the concepts that I'm going to mention along the way here.
