Ben, we're on and today's guest we've got Neil Woods. Neil's a 4 month undercover

cop off of 14 years. First of all Neil, I just want to thank you for coming on the show.

The problem. I think this is the first time I've sat across from my cop on. I'm the one that's

asking the questions today. So it's refreshing. So you've released two books. You went under cover,

some darks, topics you went, what ton. We'll go right back to the start where you grew up and

how you get involved in life you were involved in. Yeah, well I grew up in, I suppose you could

call it a sleepy middle class town called Bucston in the peak district. But I didn't really realise

at the time how sheltered it was but I made a bit of a daft mistake. I went to university by mistake

and why I thought that I would enjoy business studies. I have no idea. But I quickly found out

it wasn't for me and I dropped out. So I went home. I was going to go back packing around Europe.

A couple of my friends had done that. It sounded exciting. But then I saw an advertisement in the

local newspaper for the police. And I thought well that sounded exciting too but I couldn't make
