0:59.0	I can say that now, but I don't say it as harshly as it sounds. I honestly can say that with compassion.
1:06.4	At that point in our lives, we had been married about eight years, and I had a baby born
1:12.1	midway through that summer. It was our third child born in under four years. Our oldest
1:18.3	turned four, four days after our third came. With Brad working in San Francisco between a crappy
1:24.7	bike to the public transit, he had a very long commute, and he also had
1:30.0	very long hours, often working early in the morning and well into the night with certain
1:35.8	seasons of time he was working six to seven days a week. I had quit my job as a middle school
1:42.7	teacher to stay home with the kids, and while I wanted to do that, it was all-encompassing.
1:48.9	It was exhausting and isolating work.
1:52.7	Two of those three children would later be diagnosed with special needs, but at the time all I knew was that it seemed we had the hardest kids in the world, let alone in the neighborhood.
