I sent I texted my sisters yesterday and I said,

did you know the new iPhone is going to switch to another new charging port?

Mmm, they were not happy.

But she said, literally why? And I said, they've been using lightning for 10 years

and she said no they haven't I thought they just switched recently it turns

out she was confused because she had I got her the iPad air I think for Christmas and she thought the iPhone was switching to something that's not USBC I guess

Right, okay, yeah.

Then I explain that to her and she still wasn't pleased.

And she goes through lightning cables like, like crazy.

I don't know how, but she buys like the 15 foot ones on Amazon and they just die.

The 15 foot ones are definitely less reliable.

They're useful because they're long but they definitely die faster.

And I also she she's starting school this month I think and she needed a new laptop.

So she got the M2 Macbook Air and I said, oh you can also like charge your phone phone your laptop and your iPad all with the same cable now

She still wasn't happy. You can't be pleased

Keep your keep your iPhone 12 and last week she said, she said, can I buy more storage for my phone?

It's like, do you mean, do you mean I cloud storage? And she said, no, it keeps offloading all my apps download more ram.

And like the only trade-off is the you know frustration with people who have the old cables but

like it's pretty hard to argue that it's not like superior in most other ways.

Oh, you can get an anchor, 100 watt, 10 foot nylon USBC cable for 999. That's pretty fair you can get lightning cables

that are about that as well. Yeah that's true. I imagine when they switched to

lightning though wasn't weren't like the knockoffs weren't as readily
