Summary

Benjamin and Chance discuss what an ‘Apple Watch X’ could look like, in what Mark Gurman described as the biggest redesign for the Apple Watch ever. There’s a brewing social media storm about iPhone battery health possibly degrading faster than normal, the iTunes Trailers app is discontinued, and Chance is frustrated with the (un)reliability of the HomePod multi-room experience.

Okay, so I do have a slight apology to be had because we have a fair amount of feedback on a comment that I made in last week's episode.

I regret the error. I think half flippantly suggested that there was only one carrier in the UK that supports

0:16.0

visual voice now, but there's actually three.

0:19.2

Unfortunately, none of the three that I use but there are three EE

0:23.2

O2 and Skye and E and O2 are probably like the biggest carriers in this

0:26.7

country so there you go the one I thought I the one I knew had it was O2 but

0:30.2

then there was EEE and Sky. I use a carrier called Plusnet, which is like a

0:35.8

MVNO for EE. I don't know if you have MVNOs in America. Oh yeah, we do. They always get

0:42.1

bought. But they're basically. Yeah. Yeah, is that like Mint Mobile kind of situation where like they run on like T-Mobile or whatever? Yeah. And then they got bought by T-Net recently. So, and then they end up getting bored out. Yeah. So PlusNet runs on the EE network,

0:55.0

but I don't get any of the nice EE features like Visual Voicemail,

1:00.0

which is kind of sad.

1:01.0

But Sky is a supported visual voicemail carrier and they

1:03.4

run off O2 and they do ooh-e and they do so for whatever reason those three do

1:08.6

support it none of the other UK carriers do there is a nice one of our listeners sent a nice little link that I'll put in the

1:15.8

show notes which is wireless network provider support and features for Iphon Europe on

1:19.6

Apple.com which lists every European country and every subset of feature that they support.

1:25.0

So you can get an up-to-date list on there on exactly what they support from, you know,

1:29.1

visual voicemail, Wi-Fi calling, personal hotspot, 5G, that kind of thing, e-Sim etc.

1:34.1

But yeah, the UK support for Visual Voice is most slightly better than one.

1:38.5

Are you going to type out your apology in like the Apple Notes app and

1:42.1

screenshot it and share it on

1:43.5

Twitter. Well I mean what social network do you put it on these days? Where does the
