It's 4 o'clock p.m. or approaching 4 o'clock p.m. in Utah, where they're having the General Conference.

And I wanted to tell you that I've watched everything. I've made a bunch of notes.

And this was perhaps the worst session of General Conference. I wanted to tell you that I've watched everything. I've made a bunch of notes.

And this was perhaps the worst session of general conference I have ever seen in my life.

I mean, this morning session, it was okay. It was sort of a mixed bag. It had some good points.

It had some bad points. And we went over those. This really is horrible.

Sometimes people talk about the toxic perfectionism in Mormonism. Well, if you wonder why it is, or how it is that Mormons seem to as a people

and as a religion suffer from this idea of toxic perfectionism, perhaps more than other people

and other religions, this session

of General Conference will answer that question for you, no doubt about it. It brought it home

to me in a way that I could not comprehend otherwise as well than watching this session. So let me go

to my notes here. And let me say this first thing,

okay. I was contacted during general conference, well, by a number of people, but one of them,

who I believe is in a position to know, texted me that Jared Larson, the little guy who got up

there in the morning session of general conference, the manager of the

church auditing department, that this is the report I received, okay, that he, not only is there

all those problems that I mentioned in the morning session when I was covering it, that about the 20

years of the SEC scandal and all the

fraudulent behavior that the church was engaging in to keep the amount of U.S. security

secret from the government as well as from its own members so that they keep paying tithing.

Yeah, and people such as him have been coming forward every general conference to tell us that everything's wonderful
