Diving into secular descriptions of parenting and then trying to just tease apart good tactics

and bad theology is really an important exercise. I don't expect a secular psychologist to have

biblical theology, but I think this is really confusing for Christians when they're consuming

content like this. How do we discern like, wow, those tactics really work that they sound really

good, but all of a sudden you're building your entire life on bad theology.

I love, of course, looking around the internet for various influencers and trying to understand how we have family teams can interact with a lot of the popular content around parenting in general.

So there is Dr. Becky Kennedy. She might be one of the most popular parenting experts right now that I see on

YouTube. And that is through a scientific study of who tends to pop up on my feed more frequently

than others, since she's up there a lot. I think she gave really famous TED Talk back of the day.

So she says things very, like very clearly. She has some really interesting advice. And a lot of it,

I found like, wow, that's,

I can see how I got to be super helpful. But it is important to kind of like process these

things through a biblical lens. That's kind of what I want to do in this video. So I am joined

by my partner in crime, my wife, April. She's, she's zooming in all the way from the other side of

the second floor. And then we've got Kristen Netting from the very, very center of Ohio. And then

of course, great content she's put out in a lot of places. And one of the things she says in

this, I found really interesting, just really interesting framing. So this first video is about the difference between making a request and setting a boundary.
