0:10.1	have a look at some differences in thinking around things we take for granted as truths, but are
0:15.6	only localized. I'll then try to draw a tenuous link to fitness to keep everybody happy.

0:43.8	I do find it curious though that an account that basically posts mistruths with no evidence
0:52.1	whatsoever, you know, because it's not possible to have evidence for something that's false.
0:58.0	But this mistruth, fitness, wellness account, and others that I know of, you know, has over 100,000 followers.
1:06.0	The videos that they post up, again, making claims that have no basis, have tens of thousands of views.
1:14.5	And many philosophers right now are claiming that we live in an era that they're referring to as
1:22.1	post-truth. And I would agree with this claim and argue that this has been brought about by societal
1:29.8	megatrends such as social media.
1:33.5	According to figures from Ofcom, which is the UK's Office for Communications, 67% of those aged
1:42.2	between 16 and 44 now get their news from social media.
1:47.0	56% of all age groups get their news from Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
1:55.0	And what is most frightening of all though is that of those surveyed that get their news from social media, so 56%,
2:03.6	only 40% of those said that they were concerned that it was accurate information.
2:10.6	No wonder we live in a post-truth era if we've got almost half of the population of the country
