Darren I appreciate your time very much for joining me and ready to talk a little bit of Cardinals here previewing the outlook for 2024.

Sounds good. First one for you. I'm curious, my sense last year watching from the outside was that

perhaps Jonathan Gannon was maybe holding back a little bit in terms of his

defensive play calling knowing that it was kind of a bridge year with the Murray

injury is there any validation knowing that it was kind of a bridge year with the Murray injury.

Is there any validation or truth to that sense?

And then this year, what difference might we see

if he's able to open everything up? Well, I mean, if we're talking about the defensive side of the ball I think

well one Nick Rollis was the defensive corner he's the one calling the defenses right now.

Danin ceded that to him in the first year.

So that's part of the equation.

I don't I don't know if I sit there and say they necessarily held back. I mean were they limited in some of the things they could do given their personnel? That's possible

But to me that's a lot different than holding something back.

I mean, if you can't do something, I think the mark of a good coach is understanding who

his personnel is and what they can and can't do.

And if you do not have the personnel to pull off some of the things

you're talking about then it seems kind of foolish to me then to try and run it because

it's just not going to be effective.
