I'm Danny Howard, and today my special guest stood in front of me is Artie.

Hello, thanks having me.

A pleasure to have you here.

I think we should talk about you then and get to know you a bit more.

So I want to take it back to this time last year.

I know you were still doing the day job, right?

Yes. Tell us what a typical week in the life of Artie, it was trying to juggle both the day job and being a DJ.

So it was really overwhelming because I was trying to pursue two passions at exactly the same time.

And it was just switching mindsets constantly. my day job was in journalism in broadcast journalism

and I think it was just getting to about the time where I really thought it would be good to

just give this my all and go with the momentum that was having in music because I absolutely love

journalism and I'll continue doing it but I think that there's a time for everything and this was the time to make the most of this.

At what point? Because I love when DJs, we've had a few occasions where DJs like Hannah Lang, who's a friend of the show, she was a dental nurse, then went into DJ and Emily Nash, I think worked at Tesco, then became a DJ.

So all these different, like, sort of fields that people come from and then take the leap of faith into being a full-time DJ.

At what point did you decide to take that leap?

Oh, that's a good question.

I think it was at the point when I realized that in order to produce, I really needed to put more time into it.

I needed to put time into sessions.
