We are joined today by one of my favorite people in the world to listen to, to read, to talk with.

I would probably describe him as a conservative fault leader who shifted to the classroom

and academia. I don't know how he describes himself, probably husband, father, or grandfather, but he was never what I would call a politician,

even though he was around public policy and had ready access to politicians, they consulted him

and probably still do.

Now he's an expert on happiness.

I mean, like the study of happiness,

not, you know, am I happy, am I laughing,

do I like this movie like the science of it he's a

professor he's a researcher he's also a prolific author although in the interest of

full disclosure he's also my wife's favorite

guest when I have him on. She, like every week wants to know why can't you have

Arthur Brooks back on your television show or your podcast.

And I was, well, honey, he actually works for a living.

He doesn't sit around waiting on me to ask him to come on the podcast.

But she'll be happy with that.
