It's going to be a one-hour timeline history of AA and how AA started in Houston, Fort Worth, and Dallas.

In the interest of time, the presentation is going to end at the year 1971, and that's when co-founder Bill W. passed away.

Our 12th step carrying the message is the basic service of the AA Fellowship.

It is our principal aim and main reason for our existence.

A.A.'s co-founders, Bill W. and Dr. Bob, first met in Akron in early May,

1935. Dr. Bob later went on a four-day binge

at a medical convention, and Bill W. helped him through three days of sobering up to get ready

for his scheduled surgery. Dr. Bob had his last drink on the day of the surgery, which is celebrated
